Last weekend we decided to take a last minute trip up to the mountains to escape some pretty hot temperatures at home. We packed up the crew and headed up to Buena Vista. Once we got there, our first stop was K's, a fabulous old fashioned burger and ice cream joint that is just across from a lovely park.
After finishing off some pretty tasty milkshakes and malts, we headed up (literally) to one of our favorite trails and hiked around at about 13,000 feet for a couple of hours. It was absolutely beautiful! Moose even got to romp in the snow!
After the hike, we stopped back at the park for Molly to stretch out, play, and read for just a bit.
On the drive home, we stopped for dinner at the Coney Island Boardwalk! Yep, we came across this place in a small mountain town.
On Sunday we decided to relax around the house, and Molly took advantage of the day to talk to Dad about the upcoming football season. She is already a Bronco fan!
