Yep, I am once again way behind on posting. Better late than never, right? Anyhow, Happy (belated) Fourth of July!!! To celebrate we went on a fantastic family vacation with Grandma and Pa all the way to Michigan to visit Uncle Adam and see his new place. It was awesome and we had such a great time! I can't wait to get back. Since I missed posting a 4 month picture of our little guy, here is one taken on the trip at just over 4 months!
Uncle Adam had a fabulous deck and an awesome yard that we took full advantage of while we were there.
He even showed Miss Molly all about fireworks. Yes, they are legal there and everyone shoots them off. It was so much fun! Molly wasn't too sure about the loud ones, though. Once when we were outside in the front yard, Uncle Adam snuck around the the back and shot off a few pop bottle rockets and Molly got really wide eyed and said in a bit of an accusatory whisper: "Sounds like Uncle Adam is shooting off fireworks!" It was pretty funny.

One of Mason's very favorite things is to stand up. He can push himself up all by himself with just a little help balancing! We keep trying to convince him that he needs to learn to sit before he can stand, but he still isn't convinced.

After it got dark we discovered something pretty neat that we don't have here in Colorado: fireflies! It was the hit of the evening ... even better than fireworks! Molly absolutely looked chasing them, and she even caught on all by herself! She was so excited!
While we were there we headed into downtown Detroit to take in a Tigers game. It started out just a lot rainy but ended up an absolutely beautiful day!
The Tigers' stadium is pretty awesome and very kid friendly. They even have a merry go round for the little ones! Molly and Grandma rode it together --twice!
Uncle Adam also took us into this really cute little German town that has a world famous Christmas store that is unbelievably huge! It was Christmas in July!

One day we headed into Ann Arbor and checked out their Hands on Museum! It was such a great museum for kiddos! Molly started off by looking at worms through a magnifying glass. She wouldn't touch them.

When we got back to Uncle Adam's Molly and Pa went exploring in the backyard and found a frog! Molly named him Ribbit.
She made sure everyone saw him.
She even got brave enough to hold him all by herself!
Then she let him go home so he could go see his brothers and sisters.
On our last day in Michigan we went to the Henry Ford museum. It was awesome! We got to ride in a vintage Model T, take a train, ride another merry-go-round, ride in a horse drawn carriage and see lots of America's great history. If you are ever in the Detroit area, I highly recommend it.
