Beautiful Wedding

A few weeks ago we got on a plane and flew to Phoenix for Aunt Caitlin's wedding.  We were so lucky to be able to make this trip with Grandma and Pa.  They were a huge help in all the travels and in keeping an eye on the kiddos --thanks so much!  Molly was really excited to be able to go on a plane and fly high up in the sky.  Like the responsible parents we are, Brian and I thought it would be best to have Molly sit in a row with Grandma and Pa while we sat with little Mason on the other side of the aisle.  It was a great plan --and much more relaxing for us!  Here is Molly getting all ready for takeoff!

After being up in the air for a while, the novelty began to wear off and Molly was ready to start moving around a bit.

I am pretty glad it is a quick flight, because here she is nearing the end of the flight.

Mason seemed to enjoy the flight too.

Once he woke up, he even looked out the window with Dad.

After we landed we headed over to Grammy and Grandpa Don's house.  Uncle Colin was there and Molly couldn't have been more excited to play with him.

Meanwhile, Mason took advantage of a few moments with Grandpa Don.

We then headed over to the beautiful Royal Palms hotel to check in.  Molly immediately fell in love with all of the fountains.

After getting settled into our rooms Molly hit the pool for a little swimming with Daddy!  She loved it!

Then we had to get all prettied up for the rehearsal.  Molly was ready to learn to be a flower girl.

We kicked off the morning of the wedding by going out to a delicious breakfast at one of Grammy and Aunt Caitlin's favorite spots.  Molly thought it was quite the place too --they had fantastic cupcakes!

Back at the hotel, we checked out a few more fountains and then hit the pool.

Swimming with Dad.

Just hanging out.

Mason even got in his swimsuit!

He had a leisurely time hanging out with Grandma.

Just catching some rays!

Getting a suntan with Pa!

All the excitement wore the little guy out.

Meanwhile, Molly just kept on swimming with Pa.

She was having so much fun!

After a long nap it was time for the wedding.  Here is the little flower girl getting ready.

Mason hung out with Grandpa Don before the wedding while we waited to take a few pictures.

Waiting patiently for pictures.

Meeting the beautiful bride!  Molly was captivated by the fancy dress!

Smelling the flowers!

Hanging out with Uncle Colin!

Hanging out with Grammy while we waited to have our pictures done.

The beautiful bride and her handsome groom.

Smile!

Grandkids and Grandmas.

After taking the pictures the next task was trying to stay clean for the start of the wedding ceremony!

Staying clean is no easy task, especially when there are fun stairs to climb!

So instead of exploring the outdoors, we headed back to our rooms to rest for a few minutes before the ceremony began.  Mason enjoyed a little time with his Grandmas.

Here is our flower girl just before the wedding started.

I don't have any actual pictures from the ceremony, but Molly did great!  She made it all the way down the aisle and then even tried to help her Daddy out with his reading!  After the ceremony was over, Molly played in the rose petals.  She was adorable!

Meanwhile, Mason decided to enjoy cocktail hour with his Dad.

It wasn't too long before they cleaned up the rose petals, and when they swept them all up Molly just sat down and cried.  But, it didn't take long for her to shake off her disappointment and move on to enjoying cocktail hour with everyone else.

Here she is spending some precious time with her Great Grandma.

Mason spent the evening with Grandma and Pa.

At the reception, Molly was ready to do a little dancing.

She even enjoyed a special dinner just for her!

Hugs for Grammy!

It was such a beautiful wedding!  Congratulations again to the bride and groom!  The next morning we packed up and went to Grammy and Grandpa Don's for a marvelous brunch!  Unfortunately my camera wasn't working there and I didn't manage to get any great pictures of the fantastic event.  I got my camera back up and running on the plane and managed to get a few more shots of the flight home.  Molly was pretty tired, but that didn't stop her from wanting to play.  Have some stickers Pa!

Mason was pretty tired too.

It wasn't until we started to land (and it got a little bit bumpy) that Molly finally took a rest!  She was exhausted --and so were the rest of us.

We had a great time.  It was such a wonderful wedding weekend!
